Shakopee AAA Training (South):
This camp is where players can get the most ice, specific instruction and flexible times to fit your schedule. Since this camp runs from June through August, almost everyday of the week, you have options to choose from that best work with your schedule. Specific age groups times are assigned so check with camp administrators for times available for you age sessions.

ITR AAA Hockey stresses the importance of strong skating skills, speed and puck control as key elements required to become an more advanced hockey player.
Skating Technique
Players start each session working on edges and stride length. Focus is on the basics to benefit the future. We will emphasize how important each player’s skating can improve their overall game.
Shooting Techniques
Players will learn the science of shooting, then receive proper technique instruction for the optimum benefit from those expensive sticks. Players will build confidence to be the next best sniper.
Stick Handling
Learn how to handle yourself in tight and open areas of the ice to beat strong defensive players. Also includes breakaway and the special tricks to being unstoppable.
Passing
Passing over and under sticks. Catch and make passes like a PRO.
Wall Play
Playing the puck off the wall is important as a player advances. The less time the puck is on the wall the more time a player has to make a skill play.
Puck Protection
Controlling the puck differentiates a lot of players. Using a player’s own body and stick can dictate what the opponent can do.
Hand-Eye Enhancement
Hockey specific drills for developing better hand-eye puck skills.
Small Games
Players become better when they have the puck on their stick. Situational games designed for high intensity and FUN, allowing skill development to increase much more effectively
Age-Specific Workouts
High-Intensity workouts balanced with work/rest ratios to gain optimal results during every session.

Core Work
Core muscles tie the upper body to the lower body. Strong core muscles are key to a complete player. At this camp it’s all about Skill Development. Learn ideas and techniques from proven winners!
Aerobic & Weight Room:
Held at the Shakopee Community Center. ITR Summer Pass particiants have access to a complete fitness program. Programming will include cardio, strength and balance training.
Indoor Track:
State-of-the-art facilities includes an indoor track.
Gym & Basketball Courts:
Along with the above indoor track, the Shakopee Community Center has several courts for cross training and indoor training exercises.
Ice Arena:
On ice programming will be held at the Shakopee Ice Arena. This is a clean modern arena that includes spacious locker rooms, shower facilities, skate sharpening and a professional staff.
